A little over a year ago, while going through a stressful time, I got into basketball to shift focus. I wanted to dive deeper and learn more about my favorite Boston Celtics team, so I built a dashboard with Elasticsearch and Kibana. This talk will show you how to load data in Elastic using Python, Elasticsearch to write queries, and Kibana to create a dashboard. I will also show a local example, using Minnesota Timberwolves data too. I will showcase how to use data visualization to answer some critical questions and make some interesting observations about the team.
